Clear, succinct, detailed background for Histology

I purchased the Netter's flash cards 2 months ago and wish I had instead purchased the Lange Basic Histology ones the first time around! Now I have 2 stacks of histo flash cards, only one that I can actually use. Although the Netter's histology flash cards are elegantly designed the content on the back of the flash cards is poor and the information is arranged in a manner that is inaccessible, scattered, and incomplete. Netter's gave only a couple of important basics on the back of each flash card and fill the rest in with minute, irrelevant details without providing an adequate foundation. I spent a lot of money on them, but have not been able to use them at all to study. I had tried, but it never worked out.
Two weeks ago I learned about these Lange Basic Histology flash cards and found them to be almost exactly what I was looking for. The cards are concise and very high yield. Each card has diagrams and/or pictures of micrographs of light microscopy AND electron microscopy which I found very helpful. I found Lange to have more photos (so they capture the real thing) than Netter's, which has tons of illustrations. Moreover, the back of each slide gives an overview of all the basic, important concepts you need to know for that particular topic AND presents clinically relevant information. For me, these slides were designed exactly the way I wanted to design my own study sheets and flashcards: a representative micrograph of light and EM microscopy and/or diagrams on one slide, and all the foundational information (not just 2 concepts + trivial matters) PLUS clinical relevance on the other.
Critiques: a.) These cards have great content, but could be more chic. I personally would have really liked that, but I'm an artist so more critical of that than other people. Netter's is certainly flashier. b.) I wish there were more clinical information. They don't have less than Netter's does on each card, I just wish they had more.
Bottom Line: Lange flash cards summarize the fundamentals of histology I am needing to know for medical school and do so in a clear, compact version. The EM and light microscopy pictures on each are also great, and some have illustrations, too, which are also great. I am finding these flash cards very helpful.

Actually.....

Reviewer "CB" of the Junqueira Basic Histology Flash Cards, of which I am the author, indicates they contain only "maybe 20 pics out of the 500 cards." Actually there are 200 cards, each with one or more images of a different human tissue or cell (with key features indicated) and a concise written description of the relevant histological information. Doody's Book Reviews, an independent, professional reviewing organization that rates educational products for medical and pre-medical students, said of the Junqueira Basic Histology Flash Cards "This is one of the best flashcard products currently available for medical education" and gave the work a weighted score of 100 out of 100.

Lange Basic Histology Cards - Great on Kindle Fire

I am an Anatomy and Physiology student that struggles with histology. Physical flash cards work well. But, I really like he way these cards work on the Kindle Fire. While you are learning the slides, you can hold the page between the cell and the key. Once you learn them, you can challenge yourself. So far I have just tried this on the Kindle Fire Gen 2 the 7" version. It will probably work even better with my Asus Transformer.
Overall, this is a great way to have your flashcards with you all the time. I can just leave the Kindle on my desk and look over at it between tasks to get ready for my lab final. I have a few weeks to study. I'll try to remember to post an update after the exam.
