About the Author
Takeshi Obata was born in 1969 in Niigata, Japan, and is the artist of Hikaru no Go, which won the 2003 Tezuka Shinsei "New Hope" award and the Shogakukan Manga award. Obata is also the artist of Arabian Majin Bokentan Lamp Lamp, Ayatsuri Sakon, Cyborg Jichan G., and the smash hit manga Death Note.

Best Art Book Ever... Period.

This is a beautifully designed art book based on the Japanese version, delivered by Viz in a hardcover format. When I found out this was a limited release, I had to get my hands on it.
This is a collection of Takeshi Obata's Illustrations primarily from Death Note and Hikaru no Go. the quality of paper is excellent, some included with special textures.
Overall, this release is just brilliant. It even comes in a sturdy slip case. Get it before it's gone, cause Obata is one of the best manga artists to get an art book of.
