Terrible...

OMG, he was stupid. He slept with others knowing he was really already married to the heroine. Nothing he said could make up for him doing that to her. He was disgusting. I do realize he is older than her by 10 years but she is 23 in this book, he should have married her at 18 officially. He then tries to say that he had feelings for her all a long! Really?? Before or after he left his mistresses over the years? It was stupid and had such repetitive dialogue. Skip this book.

Could Have Been Amazing

This book COULD have been5 Stars if the author hadn't gotten lazy at the very end and decided to go with a stupid romance trope instead of actually finishing out the emotional journey that the characters were on.
It takes a lot of skill to write a sympathetic cheating character, but Immad was on his way to being one. He was typically arrogant, just like an alpha ruler would be expected to be, and it was obvious from the conversations with his family and the people around him that none of them expected him to be faithful to Mersiha, even after their marriage. But he still wanted to be, once they were married. In such a culture, it's fairly understandable that he kept his mistress until he was formally engaged. Mersiha's response is just as understandable and I was cheering for her all the way... I was even starting to cheer for him a little bit too until the author decided she was done having Immad actually trying to make up for his previous transgressions.
Not only does he start treating Mersiha coldly again, because for some reason in his brain that's a better plan than continuing to shower her with his love and affection and proving to her that he's not going to change his mind about wanting to be with her and only her, but then instead of even continuing the play out that tangent and seeing where it takes the characters.... oh no! there's been an accident! His life is in danger! And of course the requisite vows of love come out.

This book was headed towards something truly unique and fantastic and then the author just RUINED all of it. It reeks of laziness, which was especially upsetting because the emotions and characters had been so well thought out and wonderfully rounded until then. I was really enjoying watching a male alpha actually paying for his mistakes and doing his best to make up for them. Then I realized how little book I had to go... and I was like oh no... please don't tell me she's going to... *(&*(^3@#$%@... she did it.
Laziest and most overdone romance trope of all time to the rescue. Except that this book didn't need that rescue, Immad was doing a fine job on his own if he'd just kept it up in the face of M's punishments. Which made it all the more disappointing and unsatisfying to reach the end and the supposed HEA.

Just another female door mat who loves a cheating liar. Sad the world finds this crap romantic

What a friend, all he said was I will make your life a living he'll and she tells him where she is hiding. Nice, not only is the h a door mat so is her friends.
Sorry a real friend would not of gave her up. But of course all would be forgiven because that is what door mats do.
The same days he finds her, her body is melting into his and as she is kissing him.
Wow four months of your man having sex with some one else, how easy you forget and want him.
I'm going to stand up to every one, no one will change my mind. Next page, she's doing what ever they tell her to do, with out a fight.
Dear God this is the whole story, I'm not going to marry him, no one will make me. Next page, she agreeing with no fight.
The girl talks all about her pride, how she respects herself, how no longer is she going to do what others say, the world watch out for me. Next page, door mat, doesn't stand up for herself, doesn't fight for herself, did she forget everything she was telling herself just the page before? This happen over and over and over, did I mention over AGIAN.
I sorry but really she is just sad and pathetic.
The H really were not talking one night stand, he was having sex with a women for 4 months while dating the h. At one point he was like he had to wait till she was old enough to marry. Really, she 23 years old. How old does she have to be?
What does it take for a women to forgive when she been cheated on, humiliated because the whole world knows your man slept with other women, lied to you and controls everything you do? Show her her new living area and he asked her to call him by his name. That makes her happy and now she wants sex because that is going to make him pay. Yep that's right ladies, that makes his lies and cheating all better, she going to have sex with him to make him take away the pain.
He has a romantic dinner with her and BAM, sex. US weak women just needs a romantic dinner and all is forgiven.
So any time you man cheats on you, just have sex with him because that teaches him a lesson and lessens your pain. So she's a door mat and a whore. What is there to like about her?
So he leaves her right after sex every time, so she misses him, he gets shot and BAM she loves him, the end.
The whole story is just saying even though your man, husband, or fiance keeps a mistress for 4 months, it's ok, you can believe and trust him because he didn't know he loved at that time so it's ok. Now that he knows he loves you, he won't ever do it AGIAN. He promises, trust him. And when he cheats AGIAN, all he has to do is say sorry, trust me I won't do it AGIAN. And of course you believe him.
Cheating not romantic and reading about door mats is worse.
What real women with any self respect or even a little pride would forgive him. And in just a couple of weeks.
Story to stupid and unbelievable. So fake can't stand h.
