About the Author
Gerald Tulchinsky is an emeritus professor in the Department of Queen’s University. He is also the author of Canada’s Jews and a winner of both the J.I. Segal Award and the Toronto Jewish Book Award.

A must for any with interest in Canadian and Jewish history.

One of the few places to open them with open arms, the Jews have a long history with Canada. "Canada's Jews: A People's Journey" is a look back at the long line of Canadian Jews. With the history ranging from 1760 and forward, it explains how Canadian Jews have forged their own unique identity in the country, which gives them unique qualities from Jews elsewhere in the world. All is not sunshine and rainbows, however, as it also speaks on the dark side of Canadian Antisemitism. "Canada's Jews" is a must for any with interest in Canadian and Jewish history.
