Beautiful and Edgy Steampunk Fashion Designs

[[VIDEOID:5ced2ffd25701fd505c14a6aa731637d]]Steampunk is a genre of books that I have enjoyed for a number of years. The art that has arisen from the literature has been fun and edgy. I have the previous steampunk coloring book by Marty Noble and was really happy to see a coloring book – this time focusing on the fashions (though there are still plenty of elements I look for – gears, clocks, etc.) The women in the pictures are gorgeous, as usual for Ms. Noble and the fashions outrageous, which is what I look for in steampunk.
The 31 fashion designs are based on those of the Victorian age but are updated with unusual, slightly racy, and spunky twists. These are all in line with what steampunk is about – a what-if scenario that changes the way the world works and society would proceed. The designs are elegantly drawn, which is exactly what I have come to expect from Ms. Noble. I am always pleased with her designs and look forward to new ones as they become available. I am hoping that she will come out with another steampunk book that is more dedicated to the machinery of the genre. I would love to see robots and strange cars and flying machines as the focus instead of the background.
As with other Creative Haven coloring books, the pages are perforated for easy removal, are printed on bright white paper, and the designs are on only one side of each page (the back of which is left blank.) I find that some of my gel pens and, of course, all of my pencils work fine with these pages but when I use markers, I have to test for ink seeping through. If it does, I use freezer paper or cardstock to keep the page beneath from being marred.
Coloring in adult coloring books has become the way I relax at the end of the day. I find that coloring, as with other hobbies that involve a single focus and handwork, help me to de-stress by allowing my brain to release all of the tension and thoughts of tomorrow. I focus on the here and now and exactly where I am putting my colors. I would love to say that I am good at coloring but the truth is, my projects are a learning process. I prefer to think that there are no mistakes, only the opportunity to try and see if something works. If not, then it was only ink and paper and I can always try again. My thoughts, especially to someone new to the hobby, just relax, enjoy yourself and have fun the same way children do when they are coloring. And, honestly? Don't be afraid to color outside the lines.

Beautiful Captivating women in elegant Victorian influenced Steampunk fashions, adornments and backgrounds!

Marty Noble brings us another amazing coloring book, this time her imaginative and intricate meticulous art style brings to life the elegance and aesthetic practicality of Steampunk fashion, the term first used by K W Jeter in 1987 to describe works of fiction usually set in an alternative history where steam not electricity drives all technological advancement.
Throughout this book beautiful sensual captivating women are clothed in elegant Victorian era influenced fashions, the elegant dresses and jackets, the hats, the corsets, the purses, and even the parasols of that era, then they have been ingeniously combined and adorned with the cogs, rivets, brass, and leather common in steam punk attire right down to the goggles. These women are placed in scenes with fun and imaginative steampunk gizmos and gadgets like butterflies, birds, and pipes. Just waiting for you to color in all of the colors of the rainbow as steampunk has no favored colors.
You will want to color every single image in this book; each could have come to life from the Steampunk works of literature and movies that started this style.

2. Each page is perforated for easy removal
3. All markers and some gel pens bleed through the paper, I just place a piece of paper under the page I am coloring to prevent damage to the next page.

Great Pictures! Fun Hours of Coloring!

Vampires & Goddesses were two of my favorite Marty Noble coloring books until the release of Steampunk Fashions! The detail is just enough, each picture more interesting than the last. The paper is good quality and printed on single side. So if you are a colorist who loves interesting detail, then bring out the Color Diamond and ultra fine tip pens & markers and get lost in the lace, brocades, gears & pipes for hours of fun! You will become a coloring fashionista! This book is a treat!
